What’s going on?

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

OK, it’s unfair that we are having so much fun and satisfaction with our mission here, and let you know nothing about it, whatever busy we are. So here are the major news of February 2008:

Kandara has successfully taken over CIST’s direction from Hakara who has disappeared for a while for a long-deserved holiday.
There has been much innovation this February:
- one class separated from the 1st-year students group and started the new “Database-oriented programming” training. 6 new students from DDD joined them, which rises CIST’s total number of students up to 153 now.
- this week, two-thirds (46) of the 2nd-year students are leaving to spend their last 8 months in the new work-study programme, that means they will be on the job every morning and at school every afternoon - or the contrary for half of them.
- we are already initiating the 2008 selection process, with information sessions in provinces…
As you guess hard work continues here, and also in Passerelles Numériques to build future projects!

Praise is good…

From a recent visitor of CIST:

The mission of CIST and Fontaine [1001 Fontaines pour demain is a friend project] are very well thought out and carried by passionate and talented leadears.

Your facilities for CIST are beautiful….even more beautiful are the smiling faces of my countrymen you are helping. You are giving hope and the tools that are enabling.
From the selection of students to the placement and follow up process….and your decision to own your facilities….all very visionary.

Thank you for these encouragements!
