Geographical Origin
Our students come from 19 provinces of Cambodia. We target students in high schools from poor areas. As much as possible CIST works in partnership with NGOs to cover all those areas.

In 2008, more than 95% of the CIST students selected came from the countryside.

Students from NGOs
CIST provides scholarship in priority to students already supported by NGOs.

Students from Ethnic Groups
Most of the students are Khmers but a few students come from Cambodian minorities. Our work of information in Mondul Kiri (East of Cambodia) drives a few students form the Phnong ethnic group to benefit from CIST scholarships.
